Anderson v1 pg222-223 - letter #206

Your courtesy and kindness in letting me see in manuscript your treasured writings, which are as yet unknown, have almost made me feel ashamed. I do thank you, Sir, most warmly and I am returning the two Singspiele – As I am overwhelmed with my own work of composing, it is just now impossible for me to write more fully about the Indian Singspiel.  But as soon as I can spare the time, I will call on you in order to discuss with you not only this subject but also the oratorio ‘Die Sündflut’

Count me ever amongst the true admirers of your great merits –

With kindest regards, I remain, Sir,
                           Your most devoted servant
